Investing in early childhood is essential to healthy child development, family well-being, and a strong Commonwealth. Though we have made progress, children, families, and communities across the state continue to struggle. Many early educators are underpaid, families are struggling to afford child care, and providers work hard to keep their doors open. Despite these challenges, the early childhood community shows a deep commitment to serving all young children and their families every day.
This Elections page is designed to support candidates and voters to better understand why early childhood matters to our communities. When families have access to affordable, high-quality education and care, we all benefit. We need sustained public investment and policy solutions that are grounded in the lived experiences of children, families, and educators.
Prioritizing the needs of young children and families during elections is essential because the decisions made by elected leaders today shape children’s health, learning, economic security, and opportunities now and for years to come. Ensuring that young children and families are a priority at the ballot box helps build stronger communities and gives every child a stronger foundation for success.
