EEC ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grant Information
The Department of Early Education and Care recently launched the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Child Care Stabilization Grant. We’re partnering with EEC to provide additional support, technical assistance and information sessions to child care providers.

As an independent, nonprofit advocacy organization Strategies for Children does not receive state or federal funding for any of its work. We are funded by philanthropic foundations, grants and individual donors.

Upcoming Information Sessions and Panels

Information Sessions
SFC hosted information sessions for child care providers to share more information about the Commonwealth Cares for Children (C3) formula and ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grant. We also gathered information from child care providers about what additional, specific support is needed in the field. We’ll be sharing your feedback and questions with EEC throughout the application process.

Provider Panels
SFC hosted two provider panels to encourage eligible child care providers who haven’t yet applied for the ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grant to apply. Watch the recordings below to hear directly from providers who have successfully applied on their experience with the grant and the impact on their programs.

What is the ARPA Child Care Stabilization Grant?
The American Rescue Plan Act was signed by President Biden on March 11, 2021, and includes federal COVID-19 relief dollars to support child care providers in the United States. Massachusetts was awarded $314 million dollars. EEC developed the new Commonwealth Cares for Children (C3) formula to distribute up to 6-month direct grants to child care providers. The C3 formula will consider each child care provider’s licensed capacity, workforce investments, and the vulnerability of the community they serve.
